Environmental Degradation-Where will all this lead?

.
In generally hot and arid winter for the past few days we had more snow density in the southern and warmer parts of Greece, while the Northern Greece receives much less snow now. Athens has experienced three waves at a moderate snow (2002, 2004 and year 2008) which had great intensity and frequency (three in six years) is not justified under the climate of Attica and Greece, as we know it and science 100 years (NATION, 19/2/2008). And now during the spring constant southerly winds, transport of dust from Africa and temperature inversion (accompanied by high pollution) are the main elements of our daily lives. Our course can still be considered fortunate. After the massive destruction of other areas of our planet even appear distant. So how to compare the tornado that struck a few months ago Boeotia (in 17 to 18 November 2007), in Sintra cyclone of 240 km and thousands of victims, which hit Bangladesh.
Where will all this lead?
First one end of the world as we know it. In all sectors and all countries, people and living things in the world. In particular:
The first direct effect is great to insurmountable financial burden and (critical issue in the report by Nicholas Stern that is the end of the text. Even in his article published in "K", 5/11/2006), that the disasters of Climate changes bring. The reduction of human losses is of course always the first challenge. It seeks so compelling. But the difficult point here is that this should be able to satisfactorily cover ever larger circles. But after this first vital need usually comes in a blow to the economy and the economic disaster that lead to extreme climatic phenomena, particularly for smaller or financially weaker countries. Originally climate change hinder agricultural production. In the second degree but may lead to an enormous reduction through elimination of "harvest". This is not just for farmers or only poor countries. For example we can see the problems experienced by Australian farmers as a result of the prolonged drought (the worst of the last 100 years) during 2007
